Cats can get really naughty and misbehave at times. This is because they don’t have anything else to do. We might find them tearing our things and messing up our rooms. This will not happen if they have something to do like playing. Now we all know we cannot play for them all the time because we all have our own things to do. That is the reason why building a playhouse for our cats will be a very good idea.

Cats’ playhouses may vary depending on which we want to give them. It can be simple, or more elegant and grand. Simple cat playhouses can be built just with cardboard boxes. These are the easiest ones to build. However, they can get easily destroyed especially if our cats get really playful. Some build them using plywood. These are more sturdy and strong unlike the cardboard box.

Apart from being a very good gift for our cats, they can also be every easy to make. In case of cardboard boxes, we just have to cut holes on them and attach a few boxes all together while matching the holes along the sides. This will give them a place to go in and out of the box. The more boxes with more holes in them, the wider space our cats will have.

Cat playhouses that are made out of woods are heavier and can be a bit complicated to make. This is due to the design we have to create, and then cutting of the woods and nailing them together. It can take time, but it will also be perfect for our cats so that we do not have to change their houses all the time like the cardboard box one

It can be a really good idea to reward our cats. Once they have their playhouses, we are sure that they won’t get bored. They will enjoy playing instead of just sleeping around and scratching on our sofas and carpets. Pets are just like children. They learn new things through playing. Giving them time to play will serve as a very good learning time and also give them exercise.

They can climb up and down into their playhouses as long as they want. Just make sure that the holes are big enough for them to fit. If possible, we have to make holes that will fit twice the size of their body. Along the months and years, they will bigger and we have to make sure they still fit in there. If not, then we have to change it every time they grow bigger.

Our cats deserve to have their playhouses. It is not that much work, so we may want to give one for them and they can be as active as they possibly could.
